The Atal Tinkering Lab, which received approval from the Government of India, was officially opened at Ambika Vidyabhavan Secondary School by the respected Governor of Goa, Mr. P.S. Sreedharan Pillai. This special project aimed to bring the latest advancements in science and technology within reach of regular students, with the support of NITI Aayog. The lab, which required a budget of 20 lakh rupees, had its inaugural event on 15th January  2022, in a fabulous manner.

During the ceremony, Mr. Jose K Mani, a Member of Parliament, delivered an important speech, while Dr. N.K. Mahadevan, President of the Ambika Educational Charitable Trust, presided over the event. The announcement regarding the Atal Tinkering Lab Nodal Hub was made by Mr. Mani C Kappan, the MLA from Pala. Notable dignitaries, including Mrs. Usha Raju, President of Kadanad Gram Panchayat, M.S. Lalithambika, State Joint Secretary of Bharatiya Vidyaniketan, and Siby Joseph Chakalakal, a member of Kadanad Gram Panchayat, were present on this special occasion.

The Atal Tinkering Lab, an exciting initiative, aimed to provide practical exposure to the latest advancements in science and technology for regular students. Equipped with science kits, electronics, robotics equipment, self-learning devices, sensors, 3D printers, drones, telescopes, and computers, the lab offered comprehensive training in areas such as robotics, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things (IoT). Experts carefully designed the curriculum to foster curiosity, critical thinking, and a passion for science among the students.

Moreover, the Atal Tinkering Lab offered young individuals the opportunity to explore the world of app development. They could showcase their innovative projects and integrate them into mobile applications. This initiative stood out as one of the largest endeavors in the country, promoting app learning and development at the school level. By engaging in hands-on activities and utilizing mobile technology, students could unlock their creativity and acquire valuable skills.
