Startup Awareness and Leadership Training (SALT) is a training program specially designed by Kerala Startup Mission for students in Grades 9 and 11. The project aims to create awareness about entrepreneurial possibilities among school children and to cultivate scientific awareness in the minds of young people. The project is implemented by IEDCs in Kerala.

Saintgits College of Engineering IEDC selected  Ambika Vidyabhavan Secondary School, Aimcompu to implement the SALT project. As part of this, startup mission-trained engineering students imparted entrepreneurship-leadership lessons to selected students of the school.

The inaugural speech was given by Sri. Rajesh Valiplackal (Member, Kottayam District Panchayat). Er. Chinn Mohanan (Head, SCIE-SAINTGITS) gave the keynote address. The felicitation speech was given by Sri. Siby Joseph Chackalackal (Member, Kadanad Grama Panchayat) and Mr. Amal P Rajesh (Chief Technical Officer, SAINTGITS IEDC). Finally the vote of thanks was given by Sri. C S Pradeesh (Principal, Ambika Vidyabhavan Secondary School). 18 students from class 9th grade of Ambika Vidyabhavan participated in the training programme. Amal P Rajesh, John Koodarathil Varkey and Manna Ann Mariyam handled the different sessions.

The students of Ambika Atal Tinkering Lab had the valuable opportunity to receive training at Amal Jyothi College of Engineering. This collaboration allowed the students to expand their knowledge and skills in the field of engineering and technology.

During their training at Amal Jyothi College of Engineering, the students had access to state-of-the-art facilities and resources.

They were able to engage in hands-on learning experiences, practical workshops, and interactive sessions conducted by expert faculty members and professionals in the field.

The students undergoing training at the high-tech Atal Tinkering Lab of Ambika Vidyabhavan School participated in a one-day camp at Visat Engineering College, Ilanji for further training in the field of robotics and automation.

As the country prepared for a boom in electronics, this training helped a lot in sparking the enthusiasm, curiosity, and passion of our children, especially in the field of technology.

The workshops and training programs at Atal Tinkering Labs provide students with hands-on experiences, exposure to emerging technologies, and opportunities to develop critical skills required in the 21st-century workforce. These initiatives play a crucial role in nurturing young talent, promoting innovation, and shaping the future leaders of the technology-driven world.
